Woah! Is it Halloween time already? Where did October go?! No matter how fast life is flying by for us all, we try to stop and smell the roses occasionally here at Pacific Regent. Or in this case, speed by pretty leaves while it’s cold and rainy.
Last week, we took a Halloween-themed train ride through the Snoqualmie valley region with Northwest Railway Museum! The vintage and antique train cars were decorated with bright leaves, scarecrows, and hanging ghosts – it was adorable! But what was arguably more adorable were the kiddos dressed in their Halloween best who were riding along with us. The look of excitement in their eyes was contagious!
After chugging through the mountains glowing with fire-colored leaves, we stopped at a train depot. We detrained and waiting for us in the depot was delicious, fresh hot apple cider (which was nice after being rained on!) and spooky Halloween stories told in the middle of a train platform, surrounded by antique train cars. Before we returned to the station, we stopped in front of, actually on TOP of, Snoqualmie Falls! It was a beautiful day, cold and wet, but beautiful and a lot of fun. We can’t wait to go back for their Christmas train rides!
